Margaret began her time with the Bureau in October 1970, during the WISBOM investigation as a Clerk-Stenographer. She was called the “baby steno” at the time, being the first to be trained by Suzanne Martin, former Alumni National President. From there she became a Secretary for the Bank Robbery/Kidnapping Squad, resigning in October 1982, after the birth of her first child.
She and her husband, Tom, will be married 49 years this August and have three children; a son who is SSA with the Bureau, a son in the U.S. Air Force and a daughter employed by a large trucking firm in the Milwaukee area in logistics.
Margaret served as Vice President when the Wisconsin Chapter was formed in 2001 and moved on to the Treasurer position which she has held since 2010. This will be her fourth term as the North Central Regional Vice President.
She sells Shaklee products (natural vitamins, personal care and cleaning products) and uses them in her cleaning business. In her spare time, she loves doing stitchery, reading and volunteering for her church. One of her best memories was when she led the Wisconsin Chapter organizing a fundraiser for the Honor Flights, making enough money to send five veterans to WDC.
