Pat retired from the FBI in 2008, after 37 years of service, entering on duty in the Chicago Field Office as a Clerk-Stenographer in 1971. In 1984, Pat transferred to Legat, Bonn, where she served until 1990, at which time she transferred back to Chicago. Prior to returning to Chicago, Pat was sent TDY to Legat Panama. During the next 4 years, Pat was also sent TDY to Legats Manila, Barbados and Mexico City. Pat became a Steno Supervisor in 1991, until she was promoted to ASAC Secretary in 1992.
She was the stenographer in several Bureau specials in Chicago and while serving overseas, which included the Tylenol poisonings in Chicago; RESMURS in Pine Ridge, South Dakota; the bombing of Pan Am 103 in Heidelberg, Germany, and Ruby Ridge standoff, working in Quantico. Pat became SAC Secretary in 1995 and served in that position until her retirement in 2008.
Following her retirement, she has been working part-time in the Counterintelligence Office at Argonne National Laboratory in Lemont, IL. She will be retiring on March 31, 2026, after 55 years of federal service. Pat was the Chicago Society Treasurer from 2020-2024. She served as the Chicago Co-Chair from 2022 to 2023 and became Chair in 2023. Pat became the National Secretary in November, 2025. She enjoys traveling and meeting new friends.
